This boneless ham fillet is cured instore at Gleesons and is now our most popular ham all through the year, and especially at Christmas. The smaller ham feeds 4-5 people and the larger one feeds 8-10. It is suitable for freezing.
We have won 2 Craft Butchers of Ireland Awards with this family favourite! As it’s mild cured with a low salt content this ham does not need to be boiled, you simply roast it and carve, with no waste at all. If you’ve any left over, see the recipes below for ideas!
Cooking instructions
Our homecured ham will come in a cooking bag. Leave the ham in the cooking bag and place in the oven on a tray. You should preheat your oven to 140c and place the tray directly into the oven. Cook the 1.3kg ham for 120 minutes, 1.6kg Ham for 130 minutes & the 2.3kg ham for 150 minutes. As every oven is different please make sure that the ham is cooked through before serving.
